Each month I commit to doing five things that will improve my life, my health, my home, or my blog. These are my commitments for November 2016.
Schedule Posts a Month in Advance
I was sick the last week of October, and as a result had no posts on the blog for a week. I’m all for taking a blogging break if you need to, but I prefer to intentionally schedule my breaks. So, I’m going to work toward getting my posts scheduled out a month in advance. Now this won’t include The Ultimate Rabbit Hole posts, but definitely my other two weekly posts.
Decorate for Christmas
I usually wait until after Thanksgiving, but I didn’t get the apartment decorated for Harvest like I normally do. So, I’m going to decorate early for Christmas!
It was so much fun decorating last year with Cap, so I’m really looking forward to it decorating together again!
Start Christmas Shopping
I hate waiting until the last minute to shop, so I always start in November. My Christmas shopping list is already started, plus I’m keeping my eyes and ears open for cool gifts ideas.
I do plan on skipping the Black Friday sales, though. I have to work afterward, and I’ll be cleaning up after all the other shoppers. So I really don’t feel like fighting them during the sale.
Finish a book!
In October, I hit a reading slump! My first real one of the year. So, my goal for this month is just to finish a book! Any book! Last year, I read 28 books. So far for this year, I’m at 27. With two months left in the year, I should be able to beat last years total!
Organize under the kitchen sink
This space is such a mess and I’ve been meaning to organize it for forever! And once I have it organized I’m going to take a better look at my cabinets and do some rearranging. I would like to store some of my small appliances that I don’t use that often. My counter space is so small, so I could use the extra room.
October Commitments and How I did
I did great! Because I skipped commitments for the month of October!
Now, what about you? Do you have any goals or commitments for the month of November? Has Fall sent you into a reading slump too? Let me know in the comments!
